Meet the Author

Sylvia Gutierrez is a joyful disciple of Jesus Christ who loves learning and sharing the gospel. She spends her days nurturing her two little boys—a curious toddler and an adventurous baby—who are precious gifts from God. She finds great joy in teaching them the ways of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4) and relies in Him for patience in hard parenting moments. Sylvia believes in weaving faith into everyday life at home. When she’s not writing and spending time with her children, she works as a consultant in public health, where she advocates for the needs of at-risk children and youth. She strives to answer God’s call to “Learn to do good; seek justice; help the oppressed; and fight for the rights of widows.” (Isaiah 1:17). She loves witnessing God’s majestic creations while hiking and tending to her garden. Inspired by her husband Zachary’s unwavering faith, Sylvia is always looking for ways to live out her beliefs in fun and meaningful ways, like creating faith-filled books and activities.
